Coloring Pikachu

Pikachu stores a large amount of electricity in its cheeks, which seem to charge up overnight while it sleeps. Its cheeks can also be recharged with an electric shock. These cheeks generate electricity, but it is conducted and discharged through the tip of its tail, producing electric shocks that increase in power depending on Pikachu’s mood.

The adorable Electric Pokémon is best known for its vibrant yellow fur.

  • Yellow: This is Pikachu’s main color. Use it to color its entire body, except for the cheeks and the base of the tail.
Red: For the round cheeks, use a bright red to represent where it stores its electricity.
Dark Brown: The base of the tail and the ears are this color. Be careful to stay inside the lines while coloring.
Black: Use black for the eyes, mouth, and tips of the ears. Also, use it to outline the body and give Pikachu a more defined look.

Coloring Eevee

Eevee is based on a small fox and also shares similarities with a Pomeranian dog: both have a lot of fur on the neck and tail, and a behavior that makes them ideal pets. Eevee has long, pointy ears and a brush-like tail. Its agile and flexible body is built for speed and agility. It is well known for its many “Eeveelutions.” Its genetic instability allows it to evolve when exposed to evolution stones or by forming a bond with its trainer, allowing it to evolve into eight different species of Pokémon, each with a different type.

This Pokémon has an earthy, warm color palette.

  • Light Brown: This is the main color for Eevee’s fur.
  • Dark Brown: Use a darker shade for the ears and the tip of the tail to create contrast with the rest of the fur.
  • Black: Black will be used for the eyes and nose, as well as to define the contours of its body.
  • Cream or Beige: Use this color for the mane around the neck and the underside of its body.
  • Pink: A very subtle pink can be used for the inside of the ears.

Tips for Coloring

  • Shading: Add depth to your Pokémon by using light shading. Imagine where the light is coming from and add shadows on the opposite side.
  • Texture: To create a furry effect, use short, quick strokes with colored pencils.
  • Details: Take your time with details like the eyes and cheeks. Those small touches can really make your drawing stand out.
  • Color Blending: Don’t be afraid to mix colors. For example, adding a little orange to Pikachu’s yellow fur can give it a more lively, three-dimensional appearance.

Fun Facts

  • Pikachu: Its tail sometimes acts as a lightning rod. In the Pokémon world, Pikachu can generate enough electricity to help power a building.
  • Eevee: It has an unusual genetic structure that allows it to evolve into many different forms depending on its environment.
