This drawing presents several challenges.

To bring this expression to life, you should start with soft tones on the skin and contrasts in the shadow areas until you achieve the desired skin color. The clothing also has important details: folds in the shirt and pants, all with small shadows in darker tones that will make your drawing more realistic.
To make the ball look like a sphere rather than a flat figure, you can blur shadows on the edges and highlight the reflected light on its surface. For the grass, you can use different shades of green, and small details will help the scene feel more alive.
The background can be a giant stadium full of people—can you draw it?—or a park where friends play, you choose! Additionally, adding details like a slight shadow on the ground or a dust effect raised by the ball’s movement can enhance the sense of speed and power.
